Ingress- Google's popular location-based augmented reality game now comes to iOS!

Ingress is a near-real time augmented reality multiplayer online game created by Niantic Labs, a startup within Google. It has been downloaded more than 4 million times on Android, and has featured events in 65 different cities. It launched on Android in December 15, 2013 and it was officially made available for iOS users on July 14, 2014.

The new iOS version of the game will work cross-platform so that you can play with the existing community on Android.

The gameplay consists of establishing "portals" at places of public art, landmarks, cenotaphs, etc., and linking
them to create virtual triangular fields over geographic areas.

Ingress puts players into factions. First time players have to choose between The Resistance and The Enlightened. They have to engage in a sci-fi struggle for humanity while exploring real-world locations using their phone's geolocation data.

The Scanner is the core technology of your phone. It can detect Portals and interact with Exotic Matter (XM) as well as XM constructs, such as Resonators and XMPs.

ADA provides agents with special training missions through the Mission tab.

New agents' missions are:

First Contact- this is your first contact from ADA

Retrieve XM- change your scanner by collecting XM around you.

Hack a Portal- walk a portal and hack it for supplies.

Fire XMP- attack an enemy portal with an XMP.

Deploy Resonator
- bind portal by deploying resonator.

-preparing a portal for linking.

Link-link two portals.

Fields- create a field

As the level progresses, new missions become available for agents. You can think of missions as your achievements in the game.

This game motivates users to get out their devices and engage in real-life scavenger hunts which isn’t an easy task. Everytime I go to new places, I can't help but bring out my device and play this game to look for portal to hack and deploy my available resonators.

This is one of the best games i played so far. I hope you'll like it too!
